Lisbon, Portugal artist Filipe Carvalho created a colorful minimalist series of flat-shadowed icons that depict famous characters from the Star Wars film series. The entire collection of characters can be viewed on Behance.

Flat Design, with it’s simple visual approach, enabled the non-professional-art-director-me to produce some illustration work, so, this was my chance to give something back to the saga. I looked up online and apparently there isn’t any set of flat design/long shadow design Star Wars Icons.

‘Bandstand’ is an ongoing project by Mexico-based artist Craig Robinson that shows how rock bands arrange their members onstage.

An individual color and letter is assigned to each member. For example, S = singer, G = guitar, B = bass, D = drums, K = keyboards of various sorts and T = turntables. If the singer regularly plays an instrument, they get an additional pink ring around their icon.
